Patagonia (mostly) On the cusp of October/November 2023, I traveled to Argentina and Chile with a focus on Patagonia. I was exposed to a tremendous variety of culture and nature, e.g., Buenos Aires (the "Paris of South America") is sophisticated and urbane; Chile's Punto Arenas is a frontier town on the Magellan Strait; Chiloe Island is a land of current technology but a life style more from the late 19th Century, etc. The landscape, both urban and rural, is clean and well maintained. And everywhere, the people are warm and welcoming. The spaces are large and, consequently, nature is often pristine and spectacular.
