This gallery features the bird-life of Central Park - with other images for context. Few mid-city parks anywhere are so large and varied, nor so heavily trafficked. And with over 250 bird species logged there, few mid-city parks enjoy so rich a bird-life. However it is not my goal to catalog bird sightings, but to record the richness of the park wildlife and its contribution to the life of New York City in engaging images. Many of the images in Birds were also photographed in Central Park.
